Obviously the patient wasn't their biggest concern. While some staff genuinely cared for her, there were others that seemed to be unconcerned about her as a patient. She was diabetic and the LVNs nor the CNAs paid close attention to her feet. I found a couple of sores on her feet that I had to tell the nurse about. At one point her foot got infected and she almost lost her foot.
The staff is over worked and in some cases under trained. Several were working double shifts and there were high turnovers at that place. I noticed on several occasions that the staff would be engaged in personal conversations while transporting my mother in her lift.
